Crane collapses into Kevin Street Library

When the Dublin Institue of Technology was built in 1966, a crane collapsed on the site and came through the ceiling and balcony of our middle, reading room.

Before that college was there, there was a Technical College the door of the library faced it. I’m told that’s why our entrance isn’t on the street.

Hopefully, as the demolition begins next door, history won’t repeat itself!
