Hello!

I set up this site to share quirky bits of history and things that might be of interest to people who live in the area.

I’ve tried to keep the site as simple as possible so that it can be enjoyed by as many people as possible.

For those who would enjoy a more in-depth explanation I have linked various blog posts and articles.

The What-Was-That Map came from my own curiosity about some of the places in this wonderful part of the city.

I’ve tried my best to make it easy to use for anyone who is just starting out on the internet. If you notice anything that could improve in these regards please let me know.

I am planning add audio files to blog posts for the benefit of those with reduced vision.

Any information shared is provided in good faith. I am not a historian so if you notice any errors please let me know and i will fix it.
